Episode One - Mystery of MissingNo - Part 3

Sam: hey guys. My brother Connor's gonna be sitting in and helping me out tonight :)
Connor: Hello :)
Tim: hey
James: Greetings.
Don: hey there
Sam: if we're ready to start does someone want to recap last session?

Tim: We began the investigation into MissingNo, though she wasn't particularly cooperative.  She went after Maya with an attack, but Kyle essentially browbeat the Pokemon into behaving.  We've learned a bunch about Missy, but not everything.  And as we were recovering from that - the power went out.

Don: sounds about right

Sam: sounds about right...Jim, Kyle, Emily, Ryan and their various pokemon are in the large investigation lab, with Maya in the kitchen boiling water for tea and recovering from her d12 mental stress, when the lights go out, and you all hear a low growl from somewhere not very far away

Sam: For this scene, there is no enemy - but the scene itself has its own datafile. You'll need to oppose the scene to end the blackout

Scene: Blackout - 4d6
Pitch Dark,
No Time to Panic
 Small Halls

Obscure d10,  Sense of Dread d8, Debris d6
SFX – Multiattack – add d6 and keep an effect die for each additional target
SFX – Disorienting – Step back the highest die in your pool and add d6 to step up mental stress inflicted
Limit –Mob Dice – defeat Blackout dice by inflicting d8 Effect to resolve the Blackout

Menace d8

Sam: "What's going on? Why aren't the backup generators kicking in yet?" Emily feels around to make sure that Vulpix is at her side. "Is everyone okay?"

Tim: "I think so." Kyle says.

James Steel: "I think so," Jim said. "Flash, light."

"Pa!!" Sparks dance across the Pachirisu's fur as he lights up the immediate area.
James Steel: "You okay Maya?" Jim calls out.

James: Jim had Flash use his electric powers to light up the immediate area.
Sam: okay, so because this is an action scene, Jim would be going first with that as his action
James: And I'll let Kyle go next.
Sam: you're working to make an Asset out of Pachirisu's generating light
James: Yeah.
Sam: same rules on the affiliation dice as on MissingNo's powerset last session - dealing at least d8 damage knocks off one of the affiliation dice, and knocking out all four ends the blackout
Don: "I'm okay, I'm just in the kitchen," Maya calls back to reassure Jim
James: Okay. Using Trainer d10, Pitch Dark d4, Electric Attack d8 (from Flash's power set) and Survival Master d10. 12, effect die d8, no ones.
Sam: The doom pool stands, for the record, at 4d6, 4d8
Sam: (I can top out at a 10 - James, you have a d8 Asset to use in future rolls. Flash's sparks light up the area enough to see each other's faces, but there are no windows this deep in the building ,and it's a strong and sturdy dark.
Sam: (Going forward, also remember that when the scene has a datafile, the scene has an action each round. I know it's a little bit of a weird idea to get used to but it's one of my favorite things in this game that I can do this
Tim: "Vlad, I'm going to need your help." Kyle says as he releases his Zubat from the pokeball.

"Zubat!" the winged creature calls out as he settles onto Kyle's shoulder, helping to guide him through the near dark (much like they do in the caves outside Lavender) as he tries to make it to his bag, where he's no doubt got a flashlight for spelunking (attempting to create an asset).   Breeder d10, Survival Expert d8, Pitch Dark d4.  8, with a d10 effect die.  No ones. (and we'll let the scene go next)

Sam: I have one opportunity
Sam: I roll a seven, Tim gets his d10 flashlight

Sam: You hear a crash ringing out from downstairs, and another deep, primal roar, sounding closer. The walls are shaking slightly, closer to the lab than to the kitchen, where Maya feels it less. (Scene 4d6, d8 Pitch Black, d8 Sense of Dread from its powerset, d8 Menace expert, and an extra d6 using Multiattack, to target Jim and Kyle with Emotional stress. one opportunity, 12 with a d6 each

James: "What the hell was that?" Jim says, looking in the direction of the roar.
Pitch Dark d4, Survival Master d10, light asset d8, trainer d10
15, d10 effect, no opportunities.

Tim: Kyle tries to locate the sound of it, listening to the tone of the roar, trying to determine if he's heard it before, or based on what he has heard, if it's angry or scared or what as he whips the light in its direction, Vlad clamping down on his shoulder to keep from falling off.

Survival Expert d8, Light Asset d10, Breeder d10.  15, with d8 effect, no ones.

Sam: No damage for Kyle either. Now here's an interesting rule - If your reaction total beats an action total, you may spend a plot point to use your reaction effect die as though it had been your action. So if you so chose, either of you, to spend a plot point you could use your effect die to attack the scene

James: Sure I'll burn a plot point to do so.

"It's going to take a lot more than that to scare us, right Flash?" Flash responds with a nod, his light growing stronger for a second in support of his 'master'.

Sam: Alright, you had a d10 effect, which brings the scene down to 3d6

Don: "Okay, okay, that's just down in the lab, not me, got nothing to do with me," Maya says as she leans back on a counter and trying to ignore the roar. "Yup. They're the scientists, they got it. All under control down there," she continues to assure herself, and then huffs. "Damn." She then works her way over the old dumbwaiter they converted into a conduit tunnel, and forces open the old painted over panel giving her access, climbing down to the generators to try and get them working (Gotta Work Somewhere d8 Professor d8 Tech Expert d8, spending a plot point for a Stunt (the dumbwaiter) for a total of 12, d8 Effect to bypass the darkness and shut down a die…and grabbing 1xp for when you take on an assignment or duty because your paycheck or college credits are on the line.)
Don: Then I pick me to go next

Sam: (Right, another thing i meant to do pre-game and forgot  Remember that between your character's Milestones, and the campaign's milestones, you should have at least one and no more than two active at all times. If you haven't yet picked a milestone to be active, please do so by the beginning of next session)

James: (Right. I'm going with my two character milestones, not that I expect them to be used in THIS particular scene.)

Sam: scene 3d6, Small Halls as a positive distinction, and Obscure d10 to make Maya's way difficult. my d10 and d8 both rolled eights for a total 16. Maya opens up the panels and climbs down, still drenched in darkness

Don: Stuck in the conduit, but at least near the junction, Maya sees if she can splice some of the wires and give them some temporary light, give them a chance to see what's going on so they can fix things. And before she's stuck in this tube for too long (Professor d8, PItch Dark d4 and a plot point, Brassy 'Tude and Tech Expert, rolling an opportunity, and getting a 15 and a d8 Effect die to eliminate a d6)
Don: The others probably hearing, "Damn! ouch! Sh*t! Stop zapp--F&CK, stop that I--Dammit!" from through the walls
Sam: 3d6, No Time to Panic at a d4, since Maya's clearly not panicking  and Debris d6, something's been smashed into and tossed around. with 4d6 and a d4, maxing out with 12 can't beat. Maya's efforts get the emergency lighting on, still dim and hard to see but a little bit better as it goes
James: "You still okay, Maya?" Jim shouts out before looking at Emily. "Main generator's still this way right?" he says to her before heading down the hallway, Flash right behind him.
No time to Panic d8, Pokemon Trainer d10, Survival Master d10, Light asset d8
10, d10 targeting the scene and no opportunities. And the all encompassing darkness may go next.

Sam: (What are you trying to do to combat the darkness, James? Help Maya with the generators?

James: Yeah, get to them and see if I can get them up and working.

Sam: okay. I'd say in that case to justify the Trainer affiliation, you might want to have Flash adding its power to theirs? In which case you'd probably add its electric power to that pool

Don: "Just zapping my fingers. It's kind of dark in here, and I'm kinda stuck in here. Apparently, we bolted the actual access panel better then the no longer used kitchen door. We'll talk about that Prof!"

James: So that's another d8 which comes up a one.
Sam: take a plot point

Sam: 2d6, Small Halls d8, Obscure d10 as Flash tries to find the right wires. total 12, action fails

Sam: There's another huge THUD and crash, and at last the evacuation alarm starts to sound. Spending a d8 from my doom pool to add a Blaring Siren d8 scene complication against you all

Sam: The scene is still dark and loud and scary, and trying to inflict emotional stress on Jim and Maya, stuck in close quarters and hearing the crashes closer than before. 2d6, No Time to Panic d8, Menace Expert, and an extra d6 for multiattack. one opportunity, and a 9 with a d8 for each of you

James: Between the sirens and the crashes this is a perfect time to panic, Jim looking around room for any hint of the source of the noise in the feint light.

No Time to Panic d4, Survival Master d10, light asset d8
12, d10 effect, no opportunities and I'm not going to spend a plot point to grab your opportunity.

Don: Maya is going to take advantage to convince herself that she's safe from whatever that horrific noise is by being in this conduit…can't get out, can't get in. Right, that's it. That's what she's up to, yeah. (Breeder d6, since she should rely on a pokemon in such a thing, but doesn't have one; Sassy Tude d8, and Psych Expert d8 to encourage herself, getting an 11 and d6)

James: Can I try and eliminate the Siren Complication? Jim having Flash try and short out the speaker.
Sam: yeah, absolutely. Make a dice pool as normal

James: "Damn siren's getting on my nerves," Jim grumbles to himself. "Flash, try and knock out that speaker. Thunderbolt!"

"Pachirisu!" Flash replies, his body lighting up even more as electricity courses through it, blasting out in a bolt towards the speaker.
trainer d10, no time to panic d4, Electric Attack d8
11, d8 effect, no opportunties.

Sam: you can have one of mine XD  three opportunities and a 13. Siren fizzles for a moment, and then sounds even louder in contrast to the moment of silence
James: And I'll take one of yours.
Sam: alright, subtract a plot point
Don: I'll take an opportunity then

James: "Sorry," Jim calls out.
And Maya can go next.

Don: Maya will lean back against the wall, frustrated being stuck in a tube when she feels a small pouch of tools clearly left behind in the construction. She grins, pulls out the penlight and gets back to work on the splicing and restarting the power. (Spending the opportunity to create a d6 Tech resource, using Professor d8, Sassy Tude d8, Tech Expert d8, and Resource d8 for a total of 16 and d8 Effect die to burn out a d6 and no opportunities) "'Salright!" Maya calls back out

Sam: very neat. 2d6, Obscure d10, Pitch Dark at a d4 actually, sicne it's not so pitch anymore, for a whole eight.

Don: oooo a critical, not that it matters but down another d6…go Tim Go!
Don (  9:45:03 PM): "I think if we can reset the breakers now, we should get it all back, at least for now!" Maya calls out from in the conduit, hoping her splices hold if anyone does that

Tim: ok, then I would think that's where he's going to go.  He's not equipped to repair a generator, but he can probably find and flip the breakers.  d10 flashlight, d8 survival expert, d8 covert expert (figuring that if he's down here with something that's roaring, keeping as low a profile as possible while doing so would probably be a good thing)  10, d10 no opportunities.
Don: (it's a plot point to use a second specialty, just as a note, and don’t forget that you still get a distinction and affiliation die.)
Tim: I have one, so I'll burn that off
Sam: yes, you always always in every roll use a distinction and an affiliation. everything else is gravy if it makes sense in the roll. Tim, add your affiliation (probably Prof in this case, I'm thinking about changing them in the near future now that I’ve seen how they're working in play) and a distinction and re-roll

Tim: Ok, so then I suppose we'll just recast that and send Zubat out to do the actual flipping of the switches, so I can actually incorporate one of those into the roll.

"Vlad, get to the breaker and flip the switches."

"Bat!" the winged Pokemon replied, flying off in the direction as Kyle aimed the flashlight to help illuminate the panel.  d8 Trainer, d8 Covert Expert, d10 flashlight.  15, d8, no opportunities.

Sam: scene - 1d6, Small Halls d8 as Kyle tries to maneuver through them, Obscure d10. My seven actually gives you a critical, and your new d10 effect is more than enough to remove the final die. The lights come back on with a hum, and all the power, as well as the emergency sirens dying down as power is restored. This action scene is over - but there's still the matter of something roaring and smashing down in the basement

James: "One problem down, one to go," Jim sighs in relief.

Tim: Kyle calls Vlad back to rest on his shoulder, petting the Zubat affectionately for a job well done.

Sam: "Is everyone okay? Maya?' Emily's been relatively still, but snapping back into action when the lights come back. "I need to make sure Ryan and Krystal and the pokemon are alright...go find out what's going on down there!" She asks, and rushes from the room

Sam: (I'll call this a short Transition scene by the way - all stresses step down by one)

Don: Maya will take advantage of the situation to get herself out of the conduit, spilling out onto the floor, dusting her hands off, clothes and cheeks smeared in grease and grime. "I'm fine, thanks. Doing good. Yeah, this is worth three credits by the end of the semester," she sighs

Tim: "At least it's good for your resume." Kyle offers

James: Jim, who happens to be nearby when she tumbles out of the conduit, will help her to her feet.

Don: "Ugh, this is not what I signed up for. And what is that going on down there? And how did we get stuck figuring it out?" Maya goes over to the sink and splashes cold water on her face and tries to rest up.

Sam: Down in the basement, near the fossil room, now that you have more of a chance to orient yourselves, you can still hear that stomping, and another growl,....perhaps more of a whine, and a crash of glass.

Don: (this is a good time for recovery actions, if there's anyone with useful recovery skills or effects)

Tim: "Let's get in there." Kyle said, heading toward the fossil room.

James: "I wish I knew but whatever it is, it doesn't sound happy. Time to bring out the big guns. He takes one of the pokeballs on his belt and tosses it out. "Stark go!"

There's a flash of light and what looks like a giant suit of stone armor erupts from the ball. "Lurk..." it rumbles as it stretches.

Sam: "Di di?" Audino pokes its head into the room worriedly. She can offer a d8 asset to healing mental/emotional stress to anyone who wants to roll, simply by being a big pink fluffball worried about you

Don: "Thanks, puffball, but I'll be okay," Maya says as she dries off and watches the two men look into the stairwell. "What have we got down there?

Sam: Looks like Kyle and Jim lead the way down into the basement. The fossil room is trashed - the fossils themselves look to be in decent shape, but their glass cases and velvet pillows are smashed and torn all across the room. In the corner, raking a heavy arm against the wall wit ha rhythmic scratch is a Rhydon...a very, very small Rhydon, no larger than its pre-evolution Rhyhorn usually is, and the only fossil missing is the pokemon egg.

Sam: Scene Distinctions: Glass Everywhere, Bull in a China Shop, Confused Rampage
Scene Complication – Fragile Research d8

Sam: Kyle may go first having been the first to head down the stairs. (and my doom pool only grew a little5d6 and 4d8)

Tim: "Whoa, whoa, whoa." Kyle says, arms outstretched, non threatening, soft, reassuring.  "It's going to be okay.  We're here to help." Breeder d10, Psych Rookie, d6,  Glass Everywhere d4 trying to create a calming asset.   11, d8, no opportunities (and James can go next)
Sam (  10:24:22 PM): (take a plot point for using a d4 distinction
Connor: The baby Rhydon is mostly continuing to rampage around without noticing the human trying to get its attention. Physical d10, Bull in a China Shop d8, Strength d8. One opportunity, 17 with a d4 effect die

Sam: so no asset, Jim's turn

James: "I'll take care of this. Stark! Grab that Rhydon and try and hold him down."

"Lurk!" the Golurk replies as he slowly stomps forward, trying to avoid the damage to the room while attempting to grab Rhydon.
Trainer d10, Bull in a China Shop d4, Superhuman Strength d10.
10, d10 effect, no opportunities and Rhydon's move.

Sam: (make sure you take a plot point
Don: (Oh and because I was distracted explaining some stuff to Sam, I want to say I want to grab that opportunity if no one else was)
Sam: please do,

Sam: Rhydon uses its Physical d10, Instinctive Defenses d8, Strength d8, and doubles Strength with SFX: Learning its Own Strength – Spend d6 or higher to step up or double Strength die, then step it back. Recover on an Opportunity or Transition scene. Until one of you rolls an opportunity, Rhydon's strength will be a d6

Connor: The Rhydon cries out desperately and struggles and pushes away at the Golurk, using a surprising wellspring of strength that leaves it a bit dazed in the aftermath (15 with a d8 effect die)

Don: (don't forget that Rhydon has a Scene Complication to use on the player characters as well)

Connor: The Rhydon looks around confused and finds what he thinks is the source of the voice he heard just a moment ago. He cries out and a rush of rocks fall down from the ceiling between himself and the voice (Aiming for the Mental stress of not being able to see Gorluck to direct him properly, and the general noise level, on Jim)
Sam: (he rolled Special d6, Just a Baby d4 distinction, and Rock Slide d8)

Don: (don't forget the Scene Complication d8 as well

Sam: ( You know, you're right…I didn't think that the Fragile Research would make it easier to deal Mental stress, but to Jim the explorer it would, wouldn’t it?

Don: yup

Connor: (extra d8 rolled a 2, so no change)

James: Jim dives to the side, trying to avoid the rocks, glass and other objects.
Pokemon Trainer d10 (due to being concerned about Golurk), Glass everywhere d4, Survival Master d10
12, d10 effect, no opportunities.

Don: (um...a better Effect die)

Connor: (Oh, doy ^^; it's a d8 effect die then)

Sam: Jim's 12 vs Rhydon's 11, no damage dealt. Maya's the last in the round

Don: Maya has no interest in getting involved in this, she really doesn't. These guys are trainers, and have pokemon and can...oh man, okay, she has to try and help anyway, doesn't she? "Definitely not worth 3 credits," she mutters, leaping for a dangling support cable from the exhibits, torn down by the rampage, and swinging over to snatch the fragile research (trying to eliminate the Scene Complication, Trainer d6 and Gotta Work Somewhere at d4 for the plot point, and spending that plot point to use her own Mental Stress as she's terrified, and calling a stunt on swinging across the scene to rescue the research for a total of 11 and d10 Effect, then boosting her Mental stress back up to d12)
"AHhhhhhhhhhhh!" she wails in terror as the room swoops past her

Don: (oh and grabbing another experience point for the same reason)

Sam: (one opportunity, and my 6d8, 4d6 pool rolls a solid 15. Maya flies through the room but the fossils and files slip from her fingers before she can grab them to safety

Don: I can't take the opportunity, so if someone else wants it, take it
James: I'll take it unless Tim wants it.
Don: and James can go next

James: "Flash, get in there and help Stark stop that Rhydon!" Jim calls out. As Flash zips forward, Jim grabs some debris, tossing it towards the Rhydon to try and distract him.

With a "Pi!" Flash dashes in, launching a lightning attack as Rhydon.

Pokemon Trainer d10, Fortune and Glory d8 (he's in his element battling), electric attack d8, enhanced reflexes d8 (using a pp), and using my opportunity for a stunt at d8
13 + using ANOTHER pp to add a third die and up it to 16, d10 effect and no opportunities.

James: And Tim can go next.

(Rules Clarification – So long as a trainer only uses one pokemon’s powerset in a roll, it’s free to have multiple pokemon on the field – it’s only if they want to use two pokemon in the same roll that they need to pay an extra plot point for the second powerset)

Connor: The Rhydon Can't figure out where its attention should be so it just covers its head with its arms and curls up defensively, bearing the brunt of the attack without showing much harm (using SFX: Resilient. SFX: Resilient – Spend d6 or higher from the doom pool to ignore Physical stress.)

Sam: (Kyle's turn. And Tim - I forgot something last time that should have been relevant - Limit: Baby – Step up effect die of actions attempting to calm or soothe Rhydon

Tim: Kyle moves towards the Rhydon, slowly but surely, keeping his voice even and calm.  He'll walk right up to the Rhydon, gently placing his hand on it's skin, petting it lightly.  "Easy boy, easy." he says, again to create a soothing asset.  Breeder d10, Psych Expert d6, Confused Rampage d4.  14, d8 (d6 stepped up once), no opportunities.  And Rhydon can go next.

Connor: The Rhydon looks up from its defensive pose to see the human standing before it. It's still looking around with a terrified confusion in its eyes, but for the moment it seems to have stopped actively rampaging about (rolled 8 with d6 effect, now have a d8 Calmed complication)

Connor: The Rydon continues looking around in a panic, seeing all the strange looking things, the humans, the strange looking new pokemon around, he's trying to get himself back into the frenzy he was in before just to defend himself (Special d6, Strange New World d8. Rolled 12 with d4 effect, attacking the complication)

Sam: doom pool rolls a 15, complication stands. Maya

Don: Maya does't really have much left to do, she's just going to huddle up on the other side of the room and watch what's happening from the safety of an exhibit stand, keeping out of sight. She's much too rattled to try anything else at this point. Jim can go.

James: "Flash, Stark, stand down for now," Jim calls out. He steps forward, pulling out his pokedex and scanning the creature (and giving me one xp in the process). He hopes to find some knowledge to help get it to stop.
Trainer d10, Confused Rampage d4, Calmed d8, attempting to create a knowledge asset.
8, d4 effect, one opportunity

Sam: (take a plot point - Rhydon's Strength goes back to d8. One opportunity, and I get an 8 - I have to beat not tie, so you can get your asset as Developmental Psych - Rhydon is young, and directionless, having hatched with nothing to imprint onto.

James: (I'll take that opportunity. You can have your plot point back)

Tim: Kyle keeps his voice stable and calm, as he works to continue building a sense of calm in the Rhydon.  "You're not in danger here, you're scared, I know.  But you don't need to be.  We're here to help you.  You are very safe here" d10 breeder, d6 psych expert, calmed asset d8 working to step up the calmed asset.  11, d12 (stepped up d10), no opportunities.  And since I think we're in a new cycle since the last time, Maya can go next.

James: "That's incredible. I've never seen a Rhydon that wasn't evolved from a Rhyhorn before."

Connor: The Rhydon continues trying to psych itself back into it's prior rampage, but in the face of the rather calming presence of this human, he can't help but slowly start walking towards him, looking at him curiously, trying to figure out why he's talking to him. (Special d6, Strange New World d8, one opportunity, rolled 3 with d4 effect)

Sam: that means that Tim's d12 effect steps the complication straight up to d12 calmed.

Don: Maya is watching the scene and waiting for everything to be over

Connor: In a final act of desperation, the Rhydon swipes at one of the pokemon nearby, still clinging to what defensive instinct he has. (d10 physical, d8 instinctive defenses, d8 strength. One opportunity, 9 with d4 effect) (Attacking the Golurk, sorry)

Sam: James, react and Kyle will start the next round

James: "Stark, just block it," Jim calls out. Stark takes a defensive stance to absorb the blow.
Trainer d10, confused rampage d8, superhuman duribility d10
14, d4 effect, one opportunity.

Sam: I don't feel like upping the doom pool at this point, so I'll pass on the opportunity. No damage, Tim's turn

Tim: "No Rhydon, trust us.  We're here to help you.  We're here for you.  You can stand down, no one will hurt you, we won't let anything happen to you.  Just trust us." he says still smiling warmly and working to step up the asset once more and convince the Rydon everything will be fine.  Trainer d10, Psych Expert d6, Calm Asset d12.  15, d12 (not sure how it steps up beyond that).  no opportunities.

Sam: (When a Complication steps beyond d12, it's as if the character were Stressed Out - taken out of the scene.)
Rhydon snuffles and sits down on the floor now, no longer running around and parked next to Kyle, looking up and starting to lick the scratches where the glass has hurt it.
(Action scene ends)

Tim: Kyle will move to assist it as best he can.

James: "Nice job, Kyle," Jim says, clapping the other man on the shoulder before moving slowly to Rhydon, preparing to check it's wounds. In the background Stark and Flash will start cleaning up the mess.

James: "Maya. Can you go get Emily?" Jim asks the woman.

Tim: "It's a gift.  But Rhydon really did all the work.  He's the one that had to overcome instinct.  I just helped him see it was the best course of action."

Don: Maya stands up and rubs her hands. "Yeah, good job, guys. All that theatrics was pointless. I'll remember that for next time," she remarks. "Yeah, get the Prof, and then that tea." She heads up and calls for  Emily to go on down

Sam: Rhydon is quite docile now, and more and more obviously young. It seems content now that it knows someone to trust. It isn't badly hurt, although the damage is pretty good through the basement

Tim: Kyle just stays with the Rhydon for now, slowly stroking it.

Sam: Emily comes in a few minutes later, with a squirtle trailing behind her, the both of them stopping at the sight of the damage. "What happened here...is this one of your pokemon?" She looks to the others.

"Squiiiirrr....." Squirtle's eyes almost start to water, and before it pays any attention to the humans it begins picking up the trash

Tim: "No, it might have come from the egg." he says, pointing to the missing spot in the wall.

James: "I think it was in that egg fossil," Jim replies.

Sam: "What?" Emily bends and finds the egg shells. "But...it was fossilized. And this is an evolved form..."

Tim: "Rhydon, this is Emily.  She's a Pokemon researcher.  You can trust her too."

James: "I think. I'm as confused as you," Jim tells her. "I'm gonna go check on Maya, she seemed pretty shaked up. Stark and Flash will stay here and help clean up."

Jim heads up to the kitchen. "You okay?"

Sam: Rhydon grunts and nods, and seems more aware of its surroundings now, sitting still as Squirtle begins its cleaning around it, Squirtle muttering all the while

Sam: "Are you sure about this?" Emily steps closer to Rhydon, taking some vague measurements against her arm lengths. "This is...unprecedented....for the second time today

Don: "Yeah, I"m fine, just finishing up the tea, then hopefully the prof will say I'm done for the day." She sets up a tray with the pot and cup and all that good stuff and bringing it down. "Here you go. Enjoy. If there's nothing else today, Prof, I'm thinking I've put in a good day's work?"

Sam: "Of course....far more. I'm so sorry Maya, this…this was impossible. I think you acn take tomorrow off too, if you like."

James: "Just a moment Maya," Jim says, before searching through his pack. "Ah... here it is." He pulls out a bag with some leaves inside. "Add one of these leaves to your tea. It should help calm your nerves. Just don't add more than one or take them n their own, it'll make you a little loopy."

Don: "Hm? Some weed? I got some good stuff back in the dorm room, but if you got the import stuff, I'll give it a try," Maya says, taking it and heading out to collect her stuff

James: "Well I wouldn't call it weed. But I guess it's close enough," he laughed.

Sam: "I'll have to run some tests on you," Emily turns back to Rhydon and strokes its horn. "Don't worry, I'll find a place for him here."

Tim: "Good." Kyle says.
